The
current war situation in Lebanon has resulted in a humanitarian crisis. As a
result of the non-stop bombardment since the 12th of July,
Lebanon's infrastructure has been destroyed and its villages and towns,
especially in the south of the country, have been and continue to remain
isolated.
Latest figures indicate that
there are 1000+ dead (of which 1/3 are children less than the age of
12), 3500+ injured and around 1million displaced!
With an unrelenting air, sea and road
blockade coupled with the isolation of the affected areas and the resulting
lack of food, water and medicine the humanitarian crisis is spiralling out of
control.
The country and it's people need help
urgently.
